DIY: Homamade Body Scrub

How To Make A Homemade Body Scrub

Hi beauties! How was your day? I hope you had a good time as much as I do. Today I'm gonna share with you a DIY project. Yes! You heard it right lovelies! We're going to make a DIY Homemade Body Scrub. Doing stuffs on your own is a very healthy hobby as you are not only saving few bucks off your budget but you are also exploring your abilities and capabilities doing things on your own given a little help from reliable sources. Are you ready guys?

Basically, we need the following ingredients for our DIY Homemade Body Scrub.  

- Brown sugar

-  Lemon

- Green Tea

- Honey

Preparation: 

- Prepare a cup of granulated brown sugar.
- Pour in quarter of a cup of your previously cooled green tea. Don't throw the bag, we're going to add     it to the mixture.
- Add 2 tbsp. of pure honey.
- Squeeze in half of a medium lemon. 

Voila! You now have a homemade body scrub. Store it a tight container. Refrigerate after using.

Body scrubs are used to exfoliate skin which is needed for skin rejuvenation. Doing your own homemade body scrub favors you many things. Body scrubs sold commercially sometimes contain ingredients which are alien to us. They are also infused with some chemicals to prolong shelf-life. giving you confidence about its safety on your skin. You can also make quantities according to your use thereby preventing possible wastage.

Honey, a medicinal aid that has been used for ages and is known to treat various conditions is a perfect ingredient fir a body scrub. Lemon, being a natural skin whitener use to bleach unwanted pigmented skin areas.

Hi lovelies! As promised in my previous post about Early Eid Gift, I'm going to write a review about one of the stuffs I received which is the mango soap from Body Shop. It's been almost a week since I used it and if you want to know what I have to say then keep in reading. 

This is a clear soap and as opposed to its name mango soap, I don't smell any trace of mango on it. That's a turning point for me actually as I don't like scented soaps. I normally don't use soap on my face as I've mentioned in my earlier post because I have very sensitive skin. I usually used Sebamed Antibacterial Cleansing Foam or Cleansing Bar which are very good aids for sensitive acne-prone skin. Back to the mango soap, since its not scented, I decided to give it a try on my face. Why not? I have tried many body products from Body Shop and I liked them. So I thought it would be as good as others if not better.

Switching from WordPress to Blogger

It's been almost three months since my passion in writing pulled me back again into the world of blogging. A couple of years ago, I started my blog here on Blogger and one in WordPress but due to my hectic work schedules, I wasn't able to sustain it. Three months ago, I found myself picking back the pieces I left. I re-updated  my WordPress Blog The Hijabi Musings and rearranged everything. From layout, themes, images, widgets and all, they were all brand new ideas conspired to give my readers a very welcoming ambience once they visit my blog. Things turned out well and pageviews started to increase alhamdulillah. My followers surprisingly went up and thanks to all my readers for I can never do it alone without you.
